Pet & Guide/Assistance Dog Policy

  • Owners/guests must advise the hotel in advance of making a reservation that they wish to bring a dog with the breed and weight of the pet being advised
  • Room type and room number will be allocated by the hotel dependent on required occupancy, dogs may not be taken into other hotel bedrooms aside from that allocated by the hotel
  • Dogs are accommodated up to a maximum size of 10kg only
  • The charge applicable is £35.00 per dog per night stay with the exception of guide/assistance dogs
  • Any stains or damages must be paid for according to the cost of replacement or repair
  • Owners/guests are asked to control any noise made by the dog to ensure it does not disturb other guests
  • The hotel reserves the right to review our accommodation commitment if operational issues occur
  • Dog/s cannot be left alone in any room at any time and all dogs must be well trained
  • Staff are not permitted to care for the dog – eg feeding or walking
  • Dog/s must be kept on a leash when in public areas
  • Dogs are not allowed in any food or beverage area, gym or the meeting/events facilities with the exception of guide/assistance dogs
  • Guests are asked to pick up any deposits left by the dog immediately
  • Working guide/hearing dogs are accepted with no charge

If you are visiting Pleasure Beach Resort during your stay and not booked an inclusive package, you can purchase eTickets online in advance at www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com at a discount from the gate price. Alternatively you can also purchase eTickets from the hotel reception on the day of your visit.

Entry to Pleasure Beach Resort is only available through booking an inclusive package, or purchasing your tickets in advance at www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com or from the hotel reception during your stay.  Entrance only passes are not available.

Yes – the hotel now has an exclusive entrance to the Pleasure Beach for hotel guests only. On all Pleasure Beach opening dates the entrance adjacent to the hotel will be open for the first 90 minutes to allow entrance onto the Pleasure Beach – allowing quick and easy access for guests with a ticket issued at the hotel reception!

The entrance is open all Pleasure Beach operational dates for hotel guests for the first 90 minutes only – please check www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com for opening dates and times. Entrance only is permitted; the park exit is located at the North side of Pleasure Beach. Please note if accessing Pleasure Beach on your departure date and travelling by car that the hotel car park is only available until 12:00 on the day of departure – alternative chargeable parking is located in close proximity to the hotel.

If you reserve the package which includes bed and breakfast plus 1 days tickets per person for Pleasure Beach Resort these can be either used on the day of arrival or day of departure which does not need to be chosen in advance you can simply liaise with reception during your stay. The inclusive tickets can be picked up any time from the hotel reception.

Please be advised effective 21st March 2022 Big Blue Hotel will be operating cashless throughout the hotel, most major credit/debit cards are accepted at reception and in the Blues Bar & Brasserie.

We do have a car park onsite, which cannot be reserved.  Car parking is chargeable at a discounted rate of £10.00 per vehicle per night (12 midday – 12 midday) when booking your stay direct with the hotel (higher charges are applicable when booking through a third party). Parking is at your own risk and the Hotel cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or claim to vehicles or items left in vehicles.

A 3kW EV charging point is available in the hotel’s car park. It is a standard 3-pin UK plug socket with no adaptors available, you must bring your own charging cable. Our charge point is subject to availability and charged at £20.00 per night (in addition to the nightly car parking charge) with use available until check out time at 11:00am. Hotel residents requiring use of the EV charging point must contact reception prior to use, to pre-pay the additional charge.

All areas of the hotel are designated non-smoking; there is a smoking area at the front of the hotel. A minimum £300.00 cleaning charge is applicable for smoking, vaping and/or use of e-cigarettes anywhere on the hotel premises.

Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival until 11:00 on the day of departure, outside of these hours a luggage room is available. Late check out until 13:00 is available as a supplement on request.

A complimentary luggage room is available, access is via our reception team.

By prior arrangement and subject to availability a late check out at 13:00 on the day of departure can be provided and a supplement of £30.00 per room would apply.

We do have purposely designed and adapted rooms for wheelchairs users, which are located on the ground floor of the hotel, for further information on the room features please contact our reservations team.

We recommend that a reservation is made for dinner and this can be done by contacting the Blues Brasserie on 0871 222 4000 or book online.

All guests are required to wear appropriate dress at all times when using the Blues Bar & Brasserie

If you have made your booking on this website then your reservation must be amended or cancelled on this website, if you made your reservation over the telephone please contact us on 0871 222 4000.  Any amendments or cancellations must be made by 15:00 the previous day (24 hours in advance) to avoid a charge of the first night’s room rate – this policy does not apply to reservations made on advance purchase rates or special offers, which may have specific terms & conditions.

All non-arrivals and cancellations in breach of our policy are strictly charged for the first night’s room rate to the credit/debit card provided as a guarantee (we recommend travel insurance be taken at your discretion) however if your reservation is on an advance purchase / prepaid rate then the full amount will be forfeited.  Rooms are held for the first night only, failure to arrive on the first night will forfeit any other nights booked.

A number of our standard family rooms can cater for 2 adults and 3 children by providing a sofa bed or foldaway bed for the 3rd child in the adult’s area of the family room.  Standard family rooms are recommended for children up to 12 years whilst deluxe family rooms are recommended for children up to 16 years.  Deluxe family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 4 children based on two children sharing a double sofa bed – please contact reservations for details.

Travel cots can be provided complimentary and should be requested in advance, alternatively you are welcome to bring your own travel cot however children cannot be accommodated in our Suites.

The Big Blue Hotel makes every effort to accommodate special requests however on occasion it may not be possible to do so. The Big Blue Hotel accepts no responsibility for accommodating special requests. We regret we cannot accept conditional reservation (i.e. a booking which is specified to be conditional on the fulfilment of a particular request)
